The win puts Georgia State at 4-2, while the loss sends the College of Charleston to 2-2.
Both teams had several opportunities to score during regulation but spectacular saves by both goalkeepers kept the game knotted at 0-0 through one overtime period.
With six-and-a-half minutes left in the second overtime period Georgia State's Dana Van Winckle sent one of the team's 10 corner kicks just to the left edge of the goal where Brooks Daniel was in position to head the ball in for the game-winner at the 103:32 mark.
The Panthers led 21-11 in shots, with Amber Collins-Cepher pacing the team with 11. Cougar Kristin Rhyne led the College of Charleston with four on the night.
The Cougars are next in action Sept. 16th, when they host Southern Conference opponent Wofford in a 7:00 PM contest at Patriots Point. Georgia State next hosts Winthrop Sept. 14th at 1:00 PM.
