#articleRelated { display: none !important; } Freshman Ashley Arnold earned All-SoCon honors and was named Freshman of the Year at the Southern Conference Championships in Greenville, S.C. to become the first Cougar women since Stephanie Feagin in 2000 to earn the honors. Arnold ran an 18:25.08 to lead the Cougars to a fifth place finish, their top finish in school history since joining the SoCon. Arnold is just the second Cougar woman to earn All-Conference and her fifth place finish is tops all-time among CofC runners.

Kyle Palmquist ran a 19:41.28 to finish in 19th place and Wells Trompeter finished in 23rd running a 19:45.15.

In the men's competition, CofC finished in 10th place and were led by Harrison Johnson with a time of 28:12.72. Ben Sherard finished just behind Johnson at 28:24.54.

Chattanooga swept both the men's and women's races, becoming the first school to accomplish that since 1998.

The Cougars will be back in action when they head to NCAA Regional action on November 13th at Greenville, N.C.
