#articleRelated { display: none !important; } Moc Diana Jallo notched her eighth goal of the season to lift the Lady Mocs to a 3-2 win over College of Charleston Sunday afternoon in women's soccer action at Finley Stadium in Chattanooga, Tenn.

Jallo took a feed from Maya Peel 40 yards out in the
84th minute and out ran the defender to take on keeper
Emily Brenner one-on-one. Jallo blasted the ball into
the back of the net for the game-winner.

Senior Megan Chismark started off the scoring at
26:05. The Lady Mocs (6-1-0, 2-0-0) passed the ball
quickly and Chismark fired past the Cougar keeper to
put Chattanooga up 1-0. That score would stand at the
half. UTC has not allowed a single opponent to score
in the first half this year.

The Lady Mocs have allowed only six goals this season.
Charleston is only the second team to score multiple
goals this season. UTC has tallied three shutouts.

Two-and-a-half minutes into the second half, UTC would
get fouled in the penalty box and Melyna Valdez shot
the penalty kick to the right of Brenner to put the
Lady Mocs up 2-0.

The Cougars (3-3-2, 1-1-1) would strike back.
Chattanooga failed to clear the ball away from the
goal and kicked it straight up 30 yards in front of
their own goal. Carolyn Morris picked up the ball and
sent a header into the net past UTC keeper Stacey
Matthiessen to get within one at 2-1 in the 67th
minute. Eight minutes later, Abi Nicholas scored her
first goal of the year on an assist from Dana Gregg to
tie the match with just over 15 minutes to play.

The Cougars had a goal in the last minute taken away
on an offside call. Two Charleston players were ahead
of the UTC defense when the ball was kicked to the
goal. Matthiessen reached up to knock the ball away as
the offside was called.

Chattanooga runs its home unbeaten streak to 9-0-2 and
is off to its best start in school history. The Lady
Mocs will be on a two-game road trip starting this
weekend. UTC will meet Davidson Friday, Oct. 1 and The
Citadel Sunday. College of Charleston returns home to
host UNC Greensboro Thursday, Sept. 30 at 7:00 p.m.
