#articleRelated { display: none !important; } An offensive explosion by the College of Charleston women's basketball team spoiled Senior Night activities in Spartanburg, S.C., as the Cougars defeated Wofford, 96-72, in the Benjamin Johnson Arena Monday.

The 96 points were the most for CofC in its Division I history and tied a season-high by a single team in the Southern Conference this season.

The Cougars started the first half by connecting on 21-of-37 (56.8 percent) from the field, including an 8-of-13 (61.5 percent) effort from behind the 3-point arc. In the second half, Charleston continued its offensive show by hitting 15-of-33 (45.5 percent) from the field. CofC nailed 5-of-9 (55.6 percent) treys in the second 20 minutes.

Leading the Charleston charge was preseason All-SoCon performer Patrice Bryant with 24 points on 10-of-19 shooting. She also hit her lone 3-pointer and collected a game-high 12 rebounds to go along with four steals.

Teammates Erica Irick and Marketta Talley added 15 points apiece on a combined 12-of-17 from the field. Talley registered a game-high 10 assists. Rachel King concluded a quartet of Cougars in double figures with 14 points, mostly on 4-of-7 from behind the 3-point line.

On a night honoring the seniors, it was Brie Bradshaw (Cincinnati, Ohio) who paved the way for the Terriers with a season-high tying 18 points. She also dished out a team-high three assists. Ricaye Harris (Muncie, Ind.) closed out her home career with 12 points, including a pair of treys. Stephanie Ripberger (Ft. Thomas, Ky.) concluded the trio with three points on a 3-pointer.

Junior Nakia Mister (Irmo, S.C.) chipped in a near double-double of 13 points and nine rebounds, including eight defensively. Sophomore K.C. Correll (Gastonia, N.C.) posted 14 points, while classmate Jenny Weurding (Atlanta, Ga.) returned to action for the first time in five games and tallied two points and a block in six minutes.

The Terriers fall to 4-20 overall and 2-15 in the league with the loss. CofC improves to 11-12 overall and 8-9 versus Southern Conference competition.

Wofford will hit the road for its final three games of the regular season. The Terriers start the stretch Saturday Feb. 19th at 3:00 PM at Davidson. The Cougars host East Tennessee State Wed., Feb. 16th at 7:00 PM.
