The win is the Cougars eighth in a row and takes their record to 13-4 overall and 5-1 in the Southern Conference. Charleston has only lost two individual matches in its last eight wins. Wofford drops to 6-8 and 3-2 in the league.
Charleston started the afternoon with three doubles wins, which included the 8-3 win at number one and 8-2 win at number three, to take the doubles point.
Rachel Magory took a third set tiebreaker to defeat Ellen Rogers at number one with the 1-6, 6-2, 1-0 (10-5) win. Gabriela Moreira defeated Sarah Shelley 6-2 and 6-0 at number two, while Maxine Capewell took the 7-6, 6-4 win over Lynn Williams at number three. Lauren Stewart defeated Tara Hartness 6-3 and 7-5 at number five and Priscilla Roberts beat Adriane Hodges 6-1 and 6-2 at number six. Wofford's Delaine Hare was the lone Terrier victor, edging Chelsea Albertz 7-6, 1-6, 1-0 (10-8) at number four singles.
For their next opponents, Charleston travels to UNC Greensboro April 2nd for a 12:00 PM match, while Wofford is at Charlotte the same day in an 11:00 AM match.
