Ryan Roushandel scored an unassisted goal at the 19:42 mark to give the Tigers a 1-0 advantage.
Clemson's Danny Poe scored just before halftime at the 42:55 point into the match. Randy Albright and Justin Moore were credited with the assists.
Charleston's Grant Guthrie led the team with three shots, while Scott Milroth and Matt Curran followed with two apiece. Ryan Roushandel and Mark Buchholz led the Tigers with three shot each.
The Tigers will open the 2005 season on September 2, as Clemson plays host to South Carolina at 7:30 p.m. at Riggs Field.
Charleston opens the regular season at Mercer Aug. 28th at 7:00 PM.
