The College of Charleston men's tennis team picked up its 10th straight victory and fifth shutout this season in its 7-0 victory over the Bucknell Bison this afternoon at the tennis center at Patriots Point in Mt. Pleasant, S.C.
The Cougars improve to 10-1 on the season, while the Bison drop to 3-3.
Charleston took the doubles point, earning victories at the number one and three doubles matches to start the afternoon.
Charleston only dropped one set en route to the 6-0 seep in singles as MIke Reynolds dropped a 6-4 decision against Asher Salam in the first set at number two singles before bouncing back with a 6-2, 6-2 win in the final two sets. Seth Bowman was leading Jon Brenner 6-2, 6-5 before Brenner retired to end the match prematurely.
The College of Charleston hosts Chattanooga Tusday, Mar. 15th at 1:00 PM, while Bucknell travels up to Charleston Southern the same date and time.
