Schneider scored goals in the seventh and 54th minute to give the Cougars the 2-0 advantage. Caruso was credited with the assists on both goals.
Charleston registered nine shots on goal, while the Bulldogs registered only four. Sarah Wiggers also notched four saves on the night.
The Cougars open the regular season in Boca Raton, Fla., at the Florida Atlantic Tournament. Charleston faces the Owls Friday, Aug. 25th at 7 p.m., before taking on Stetson Aug. 27th at noon.
