Three  members of the men's tennis team represented the College of Charleston this past weekend at the ITA Regional tournament held at the University of North Carolina. 

Sophomore Lukas Koncilia defeated Larbi Lamzouri from Campbell 6-2, 6-4 to advance to the qualifying round before losing to Sebastian Vidal (W&M) 6-0, 7-5. 

Mickael Boyer defeated Sergio Velez (ETSU) 6-2, 6-1 to advance to the qualifying round and lost a close match to Jack Roux (USC-Upstate) 7-5, 0-6, 7-6 (5). 

“Mickael and Lukas are working hard and it is paying off, they both had good wins and gained good experience this weekend, said Cougar coach Jay Bruner.” 

Senior Omer Abramovich competed in the main draw and defeated Doug Kenny (Georgia Tech) 6-4, 6-3 to advance to the second round.  He lost to Emil Lindgren (VCU) 6-4, 6-1 in the round of 64.  Abramovich and Koncilia lost a close doubles match to the 9th seed from Old Dominion Fanslow/Seleznev 8-5.
