CofC Cross Country Team Concludes Season at Southern Conference Championships

SPARTANBURG, S.C. ? The College of Charleston cross country program completed their 2008 season on Saturday afternoon when they took part in the 2008 Southern Conference Championships. The event was run on the Milken Park Course in Spartanburg, S.C.
Overall, the women's team placed ninth, while the men's squad also finished ninth. Appalachian State won the men's championship, while Chattanooga took the women's title.
Individually for the women, Erin Stoddard was Charleston's top finisher, as she ran the 5K course in 18:47 to finish 20th. Kristen Wolfe finished 34th in a time of 19:04, while Grace Loba finished in a time of 19:30 to finish 54th.
Individually for the men, Eric Robertson was the team's top finisher on the day, as he ran the 8K course in 26:51 to place 46th. Trevor Sprague finished 50th in a time of 27:02, while Christian Bailey finished 57th in a time of 27:20.
