Despite earning a point in double competition, the College of Charleston men's tennis team opened the 2009 with a 6-1 setback at William and Mary on Wednesday.
Charleston, which is 0-1, plays host to Presbyterian in a 10:30 a.m. start on Wednesday. The Tribe improved to 2-0.
Charleston grabbed the doubles point when Omer Abramovich and Lukas Koncilla downed Sebastian Vidal and Keziel Juneau, 9-7, at number one singles. Mickael Boyer and Steven Myers secured the doubles point with a win at No. 3 with a win over Richard Wardell and Varun Pandit.
