
College of Charleston Track and Field Team Competes at UNC Classic

CHAPEL HILL, N.C.--- The College of Charleston women's track and field team took part in the Eddie and Joe Smith UNC Classic on Saturday.
Top performers on the day for the Cougars included Emily Smith (Rock Hill, S.C.) who tied for first in the high jump with a 1.68-meter effort and Erin Stoddard (Maudlin, S.C.) who placed second in the 5,000-meter run in a time of 18:28. The time was a personal best for Stoddard.
Also, the team of Emily Nagle (Annapolis, Md.), Mary Zolga (Raynham, Mass.), Alyssa D'Orazio (Haddonfield, N.J.), and Grace Loba (Orean, Va.) were victorious in the distance medley, in a time of 12:44.
The Cougars return to action on Friday, Jan. 30th when they compete at Niswonger Invitational on the campus of East Tennessee State University.
