MT. PLEASANT, S.C. --- The College of Charleston men's tennis team blanked Presbyterian, 7-0 in the team's 2009 dual match home opener on Saturday at College of Charleston Tennis Center.
With the win, the Cougars improve to 1-1 on the year, while Presbyterian falls to 0-1.
After sweeping the Blue Hose in Doubles action, the Cougars continued to control the match, as they swept singles play. Each CofC player picked up straight set victories in singles action.
The Cougars were led on the day by Omer Abramovich, who picked up a 6-1, 6-1 win at the number one spot, while at number two, Lukas Koncilia earned a 6-3, 6-3 win.
The College of Charleston returns to action on Sunday, Feb. 8th when they host Winthrop beginning at 11 a.m.
