ELON, N .C. ? The College of Charleston men's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to Elon in Southern Conference action on Monday.
With the loss, the Cougars drop to 4-6 on the year, 2-1 in the Southern Conference, while Elon improves to 9-4, 4-0 in the SoCon. Charleston returns to action tomorrow when they host Lafayette beginning at 2 p.m.
Elon swept action in doubles play to earn a team point and won four of the six singles matches played to take the match.
Winners on the day for the Cougars included Mickael Boyer (Meudon, France) who had a hard fought 4-6, 6-3, 7-6 (5) win at number four singles over Carlin Murrary and Mickael Trintignac (Le Cannet, France), who picked up a straight set (6-3, 7-5) win over Chase Helpingstine in the number five spot.
