Cougars handle Davidson 5-2 to remain undefeated in league play at 6-0

DAVIDSON, N.C. – The College of Charleston (12-5, 6-0) men's tennis team just keeps rolling as they extended their Southern Conference record to a perfect 6-0 with a convincing 5-2 victory at Davidson (9-4, 3-2) on Sunday, March 28 in Davidson, N.C.

The Cougars got off to a strong start as they swept the doubles portion of the match, earning the doubles point and a 1-0 lead, as the pairing of junior Lukas Koncilia (Tyrol, Austria) and sophomore Tom Delme (Hamoir, Belgium) registered an 8-3 victory at the No. 1 position to headline the performance.

Sophomore John Harden (Atlanta, Ga.) and freshman Kyle Parker (Richmond, Va.) notched an 8-4 decision while sophomore Mickael Trintignac (Le Cannet, France) and junior Mickael Boyer (Meudon, France) posted a hard fought 8-7 win at the No. 3 spot.

The Wildcats acquitted themselves better in singles action as Calum Gee defeated Parker 6-7, 7-5, 12-10 at No. 5 while Sam Burns earned a 3-6, 7-5, 10-7 victory over Harden at the sixth position. That would be all they would get though as the Cougars swept the four remaining singles matches.
