CHARLESTON, S.C. – Just six days removed from their thrilling comeback victory over USC Upstate, the College of Charleston women's basketball team is back on the road and set to take on the University of North Carolina Greensboro in the last leg of a four game road swing.
With tip-off scheduled for 2 p.m., the Cougars head in to the showdown against their old SoCon foes looking to capitalize on the momentum generated from their 17-point comeback win last Sunday.
The Cougars are once again led by a talented back court, including senior point guard Jill Brown, two-guard Alyssa Frye and G/F Afreyea Tolbert. Tolbert is averaging just short of a double-double with 13.8 points and 9.8 rebounds, while Brown is averaging 7.0 dimes per game. Frye, a sharpshooter, is averaging 13.0 ppg while Wake Forest transfer Erin Hall is getting 8.3 ppg.
COACH'S CORNER
Head Coach Natasha Adair on Saturday's match-up against Greensboro…
“UNC Greensboro is a solid team. They're led by two seniors – a senior point guard and a senior post. They're coming off a couple of good wins and they have a very good coach who was an all-American at Virginia. But ultimately it's about who we are, and there are things coming out of these last two games that we need to perfect. I'm excited for the opportunity to get back on the road and compete. It's going to be a battle.”

BASKETBALL PEREGRINATIONS
After kicking off the season with a home victory over Kennesaw State, 87-66, the Cougars are now on the final-leg of a four game road swing. Saturday's game represents the fourth road game in a row for the Cougars who started the swing at Winthrop, then headed to Columbia, for a match-up with South Carolina followed by last Sunday's win at USC Upstate. After tomorrow's game against Greensboro, the Cougars head back to the friendly confines of TD Arena Sat, Nov. 30, for a home clash with South Carolina State.
PERIMETER PROWESS

It starts with senior point-guard Jill Brown, who is averaging 7.0 assists per game through the Cougars first four contests.
