BROOKLINE, MASS. - The College of Charleston women's soccer team (8-9-1) fell into an early deficit and never recovered on Sunday, falling 6-0 to the Northeastern Huskies (12-5-3) in the CAA Quarterfinals.
- Northeastern jumped ahead by two goals in the first five minutes of the game, the second of which came off a rebound from a PK opportunity. The Huskies didn't strike again for the remainder of the half, but scored again in the first minute of the second half. They would go on to score three more with the game already decided. Nicole Gorman and Hannah Rosenblatt each finished with two-goal outings, while Kayla Cappuzzo finished with three assists.
- The Cougars were outshot 18-8 on the afternoon, and allowed five corners to the Huskies while only earning two themselves. With the win, Northeastern progresses to the semifinals for a match with Drexel in a neutral sight contest next Friday.

Genevieve Henderson closed out her CofC career with a five-save effort. She winds up with the fourth-most shutouts in a season (7), the 5th-longest time in net in a season (1632 minutes), the fifth-best career-GAA (1.34), and the 6th-best career save percentage (76.5%) in program history.

Laura Ortega also closed out a great season with a game-high five shots. She will enter her senior year next season with the second-most shots (145), the fourth-most assists (16) and the fourth-most points (50) in program history.
