CHARLESTON, S.C. --- The College of Charleston volleyball team returns home following a brutal four-match stretch on the road to open its Colonial Athletic Association schedule, and after a thrilling five-set win over previously undefeated James Madison on Sunday, enters the weekend in a three-way tie for second in the CAA standings alongside JMU and Hofstra.
Sophomore Lauren Freed (Troy, Ohio) has been a steady force at the pins for the Cougars this season, entering the week second on the team in kills (3.10) and digs per set (2.83). Freed leads the Cougars with eight double-doubles – including a 16-kill, 11-dig effort in the victory over James Madison. We sat down with Freed earlier this week to learn more about the person inside the jersey in the this week's edition of Behind the Numbers.
