EAST LANSING, MICH. – The (RV) Michigan State Spartans (3-0) seized the momentum and never relinquished it on Sunday, as the College of Charleston women's basketball team (1-3) fell 107-43 in the Breslin Center.

Candice M. Jackson was recognized by the Spartans prior to the game, as the CofC coach returns after a five-year career with Michigan State from 2000 to 2005.
• Michigan State separated themselves in the start of quarters, beginning each period with runs of 15-2, 11-0, 18-3 and 7-2 respectively.
• Bri Boyd had the best statline of any Cougar, logging eight points, five rebounds, a block and a steal.
Darien Huff established a career-high with six rebounds.
• Six Spartans registered double-digit scoring, with Victoria Gaines (13 Pts, 11 Reb) and Taryn McCutcheon (11-6-10, 5 Stl) recording double-doubles.
The Cougars return to action on Wednesday night, when they host the Campbell Camels in TD Arena.
