POSTGAME QUOTES
College of Charleston Head Coach Earl Grant
On the game …
"I thought we outplayed them. With about eight minutes left in the game, we were up five and we gave up offensive rebounds and second chances. You have to give them (Rhode Island) credit. They made a couple of big shots. I thought our guys played well, but you have to be eight points better on the road. With two minutes to go, we gave up offensive rebounds, three-pointers and loose balls that cost us."
Â
On the play of Nick Harris …
"I felt like we could go to him early. We did a good job of executing and getting the ball closer to the basket. When he gets a piece of the paint, he is really effective. Hopefully, we can build on his performance tonight, continue to develop him and give him confidence as we get into CAA play."
Â
On the team's overall effort at Rhode Island …
"We have to continue get better. We learn from all of these experiences, because we want to be playing our best in March. We are very disappointed we lost a game, but certainly not disappointed in our guys' efforts. It really was a two-minute stretch that changed the game. Tonight, we didn't do quite enough to win."
