CHARLESTON, S.C. --- Lauren Freed (Troy, Ohio) posted her fourth double-double of the season, and Krissy Mummey (Hudson, Ohio) added 12 kills to lead the College of Charleston volleyball team to a straight set sweep of Charleston Southern on Tuesday evening in TD Arena.

College of Charleston (3-1) won the match by scores of 25-18, 25-23 and 25-16. The Cougars totaled 46 kills, 57 digs, and seven service aces on the night, while holding Charleston Southern (0-4) to 32 kills, 45 digs and a .200 hitting percentage.

Freed paced the Cougars with 14 kills and 12 digs to record her fourth consecutive double-double to start the season, as Mummey added 12 smashes and a .321 clip on the attack. Jane Feddersen (Leesburg, Va.) chipped in seven kills and a .545 hitting percentage, while Allison Beckman (Apex, N.C.) dished out 39 assists. Logan Manusky (San Diego, Calif.) and McKala Rhodes (Charleston, S.C.) each tallied 12 digs; Manusky also accounted for three of the Cougars' seven aces.

Kylie Klein led the way for Charleston Southern with eight kills on 17 swings, as Logan Windsor added seven kills. Addison Kaderli and Hannah Western each chipped in six kills, while Rachel Smith and Madison Martin contributed 28 assists and 19 digs, respectively.

The Cougars return to the court on Thursday in Pullman, Wash. when they square off against Quinnipiac University on the first day of Washington State's Cougar Challenge. First serve is slated for 5:30 pm Pacific Time.
