ELON, N.C. - The College of Charleston men's tennis team made its fall debut over the weekend, sending four student-athletes to compete in the Elon Fall Invitational.
Ryan Khan paced the Cougars, as the senior won two of his three singles matchups in the Phoenix division, defeating Nicolas Arduh of NC A&T (6-1, 6-1) and Javi Renones of East Carolina (3-6, 6-3, 6-4). He also teamed up with
Fernando Ramirez Lascurian in the Phoenix division of doubles to earn a win over Andrew Sinai and Finlay McFayden of UNC Asheville (8-7).
Sophomore
Easton Thomas also had a strong showing with a pair of wins in Powell singles, dispatching McFayden (6-1, 6-0) as well as Clemson's Red Rabideau (0-6, 6-4, 6-1).
Alec Angradi rounded things out for the Cougars with a win over UNCG's Jack Burkill (7-5, 4-6, 10-7) in Phoenix singles.
The Cougars will be in action again in two weeks, when they head back to North Carolina to take part in Queens University's Royals Rumble on Oct 6-8.
