Full Slate Awaits Cougars This Weekend

CHARLESTON, S.C. --- The College of Charleston sailing team will participate in four regattas this weekend, including the SAISA Women's Singlehanded and Dinghy Championships in St. Petersburg, Fla. on Saturday and Sunday, as well as North Points #3 on Saturday in Clemson, S.C., and the Danmark Trophy in New London, Conn. on Saturday and Sunday.
Marian Williams (Sai Kung, Hong Kong, China) and Kelly Ann Arrindell (Port-of-Spain, Trinidad) will represent the Cougars at the SAISA Women's Singlehanded on Saturday; the pair will anchor A-Division for CofC in the Women's Dinghy on Sunday with Arrindell at skipper and Marian Williams crewing. Allie Toppa will skipper B-Division with junior crew Caroline Bracken (Bridgewater, Mass.), while sophomore skipper Nicole Simon (Coronado, Calif.) and junior crew Maura Lonergan (Marion, Mass.) will sail in C-Division.
Sophomore skipper Will Whitmore (Norfolk, Va.) and sophomore crew Max Williams (Irvine, Calif.) will anchor A-Division at North Points #3 for the Cougars, while junior Elizabeth Mignon (Bay Head, N.J.) will skipper B-Division with junior Katherine Matheson (San Diego, Calif.) serving as crew.
At the Danmark Trophy, the senior duo of skipper Stefano Peschiera (Lima, Peru) and crew Grace McCarthy (San Diego, Calif.) will sail in A-Division; senior Augie Dale (Pewaukee, Wis.) will skipper B-Division with the crew tandem of sophomore Katie Lounsbury and junior Carter Cameron (Mt. Pleasant, S.C.).
