Charleston Drop Season Finale at William & Mary

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – In the final game of the 2018 season, the College of Charleston men's soccer team fell on the road 4-0 at William & Mary on Tuesday night. With the loss the Cougars finish at 5-10-2, 1-6-1 in Colonial Athletic Association play.

The Tribe scored three in the first half, the first from the penalty spot inside the opening ten minutes.

Charleston looked to respond with Tucker Heffron and Cole Gulledge having efforts at goal but neither troubled Sam Onyeador in the William & Mary goal.

As the game hit the half hour mark, the Tribe took over. Two goals in two minutes pushed the lead to three entering half-time with William & Mary adding a fourth minutes after the restart.

As the game entered the final stages Matt Nozedar cut the scoreline to 4-1 with a 30-yard effort. The senior turned his man in the middle of the park and smashed a left-footed effort that flew into the top left corner for the Cougars consolation goal.

The Tribe saw the game out to take the three points with Charleston finishing the season in 10th position in the CAA.
