The Cougars and Chanticleers meet for the 45th time on Wednesday afternoon with the all-time series even at 22 wins apiece. Coastal Carolina took the first two games of the season series in 2017, before the Cougars edged the Chants, 6-5, in Conway on May 10.

Dupree Hart delivered one of the biggest hits of the weekend on Sunday, when he, with a stiff wind coming in from, sent a towering home run over the wall for a two-run shot to get the Cougars on the board. The big fly was the fourth of his career, and has him tied for the team-lead with sophomore

Debuting in Style
Junior transfer
K.J. Bryant marked his CofC debut weekend with several highlight plays, including an athletic wall-scaling catch in left field during Sunday's game. The 5-foot-11, 185-pound outfielder also drove in a trio of runs over the weekend - all of them with two outs.
Front Foot Start
The Cougars got off to their first 3-0 start since the 2012 season with a sweep of Southeast Missouri State this weekend. CofC's pitching and defense lead the charge, allowing runs in only three of 27 innings with only one error.
Scouting Coastal Carolina
Coastal Carolina started the season with three wins over Virginia Tech, Oklahoma, and Kansas State before falling to Indiana on Monday. The Chanticleers scored 30 runs - including 17 on Friday against VT.
Senior first baseman Kevin Woodall, Jr. has accounted for one home run, a .389 hitting percentage, and nine of the team's 25 RBIs. Cory Wood is batting .450 with five RBIs, and a team-high nine hits. Freshman and Rawlings/Perfect Game All-America Honorable Mention seleciton Anthony Simonelli will make his collegiate debut on Wednesday.
