Weekend Preview
The Cougars and Roadrunners meet for the first time on Friday. Charleston has won seven of its last eight, while CSU Bakersfield stands at 6-8 on the season despite two wins over ranked opponents.

Last Time Out
The Cougars suffered a tough 5-2 setback at No. 19 East Carolina on Wednesday after their early 2-0 lead was erased by a four-run second from the Pirates. Luke Morgan provided the offense for CofC with a two-run homer - his third long ball of the season - in the top of the first.

Making History
The Cougars accomplished a program-first in dramatic fashion on Sunday, when Joey Mundy and Luke Manzo sparked a two-out rally in the eighth to lead Charleston to a 6-4 come-from-behind win over Georgia to secure the program's first-ever sweep of a Power Five school.

Hart Of The Problem
Dupree Hart gave the Bulldogs fits on both sides of the ball this weekend, finishing the three-game set with a .467 (5-for-9) batting average, a .692 on-base percentage, and a perfect fielding record in 14 attempts. The 5-foot-7 second baseman reached base in each of his first six plate appearances, and eight of his first nine in the series.

Sophomore Stalwart
Sophomore starter Griffin McLarty delivered one of the most memorable performances on the mound in recent memory for the Cougars on Saturday, scattering six hits and tying a career-high with seven strikeouts in the program's first complete game shutout since 2014. The 6-foot-3 right-hander is now tied with Jakob Frishmuth and Carter Love with a 2-0 record, and ranks second on the team with a 0.49 earned run average.

Scouting CSU Bakersfield
CSU Bakersfield enters the fourth weekend of the season with a 6-8 overall record, which includes wins over No. 22 Saint Mary's and No. 23 UNLV.

Andrew Penner and Evan Berkley lead the Roadrunners with identical .392 batting averages, while Ryan Kock has driven in a team-high seven runs to go along with a home run. Saturday starter Davonte Butler carries a 1-1 record with a 4.58 ERA through his first three starts as a freshman.
