CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston women's tennis team (13-10) plays within its home state for the final time on Tuesday, when they head to Orangeburg to take on the S.C. State Bulldogs (5-6).
The match is a late addition to the schedule, being penciled in as a response to last week's contest against James Madison being rained out.
The Cougars are in the final stretch of their regular season with just three matches remaining before the CAA Tournament, and look to finish strong after winning two of their previous six encounters. Anastasia Palaska and Turner Yates have been potent for the Cougars this season in flights four and five, as the two sport a combined 26-11 singles record. CofC will look for those two to remain locked in as postseason play looms ever-closer.
The Cougars and Bulldogs linked up earlier this season in a 7-0 Charleston victory at home back on March 17. All told, the College is a perfect 18-0 against SC State since joining NCAA Division I back in 1992. SC State is a perfect 5-0 against schools within their conference this year, but have yet to win against a non-MEAC institution.
