HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. --- Claire Campbell and Peyton Eisnaugle combined for 14 kills and Tori Carpenter dished out 28 assists as College of Charleston fell to Hofstra in straight sets on Friday evening in Colonial Athletic Association play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Hofstra employed an efficient offense throughout the match combining for 46 kills and a .368 hitting percentage while the Pride's defense limited the Cougars to 37 kills and a .216 attacking clip. The Pride edged the Cougars in set one, 25-23, before totaling 30 kills and hitting over .300 in a pair of 25-15 wins in sets two and three. Luisa Sydlik, Laura Masciullo and Juliana Vaz combined for seven of the Pride's eight aces on the night.

COUGAR OF THE MATCH
Redshirt freshman Claire Campbell put down eight kills on 14 attempts while hitting an even .500. She opened the night with five kills on seven swings in the first set.

NOTABLES

Lauren Freed came within striking distance of a double-double with eight kills and seven digs. She needs 17 digs to reach the coveted 1,000-mark for her career.
Junior libero Logan Manusky continued her strong play with a match-high 15 digs including six in set three.
Eisnaugle collected six kills on eight swings to go along with two blocks.
The Cougars registered 16 of their 37 kills in the opening frame while hitting .263.
Carpenter finished the night with 28 assists, two kills and two digs in her third consecutive start.
Mandy Napierala contributed eight kills, three digs and one ace.
