Cougars Conclude Play In ITA Carolina Regionals

DURHAM, N.C. – College of Charleston Men's Tennis finished play in the ITA Carolina Regionals, co-hosted by Duke and NC State, on Sunday, Oct. 20.
The tournament was highlighted by Johnny Wang, Noah Borges and Thomas Easton earning wins in the singles flight, while Karl Mosterd and Borges teamed up to get a doubles win.
Easton took down Gardner Webb's Victor Putter in the singles main draw in three sets before falling to Gabriel Friere Diaz of Clemson in the second round.
Wang fell in the first round of the singles main draw but earned a win in the consolation bracket against Davidson's Brooks Green in straight sets. Borges also was defeated in the singles main draw but picked up a win against Wofford's Bryce Keim in the consolation bracket.
Borges and Mosterd paired up and competed in the doubles flight and picked up a win in the first round against Cole Brainard and Collin Thompson of Charlotte by a score of 8-6.
