The Short Story: The Cougars fell to W&M despite a valiant effort on defense on the road.

• Freshman Natalie Sgro took a game-high seven shots with one on goal.
• W&M held the edge in the shots category, 16-9, and shots on goal, 7-1.
• Overall, three different Cougars took a shot at goal.
• Junior keeper Meredith Holton logged six saves on seven shots faced.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Holton made two huge consecutive saves early in the first half to prevent the Tribe from getting on the board.
• In the 19th minute, Holton registered her third save of the match as she made a diving effort to keep W&M from taking the lead.
• Freshman Grace Powell headed a ball at goal in the 28th minute but the Northeastern keeper made a diving save to keep CofC from taking the lead.
• Sgro rocketed a ball towards goal in the 80th minute but her shot was saved by the Tribe keeper.
• W&M scored the game-winning goal in the 84th minute.

The College will return home on Sunday, Oct. 27 for Senior Day as the Cougars face off against Towson at 1 p.m. Fans are encouraged to arrive early to celebrate our seniors!
