CHARLESTON, S.C. --- A crucial two-match set awaits College of Charleston this weekend as the Cougars return home for a pair of CAA bouts with Elon and William & Mary on Friday and Sunday at TD Arena. The Cougars will take on the Phoenix on Friday at 7:00 p.m. and the Tribe on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
THE OPPONENTS
Elon carries a 7-8 record overall record this season and opened CAA play with wins over Hofstra and Northeastern last weekend. The Phoenix rank fourth in the conference in kills per set (12.44) and sixth in hitting percentage (.189). Leah Daniel (4.03) and Kellyn Trose (3.07) are second and fifth respectively in kills per frame.
William & Mary is 4-9 overall and 0-2 in conference action after falling in straight sets to both Northeastern and Hofstra last weekend. The Tribe are fourth in the CAA in blocks (2.07) and sixth in aces (1.30) per set. Autumn Brenner ranks second in the conference in aces per set (0.41) while Julia Brown is second in blocks per frame (1.25).

- The Cougars opened conference play with a pair of straight-set setbacks to James Madison and Delaware on the road last weekend.
- A trio of Cougars are averaging more than 2.00 kills per set over the last five matches including a team-leading 2.65 clip for Lauren Freed.
- Senior Peyton Eisnaugle is on a tear over the last five matches averaging 2.53 kills per set while hitting .370. The 6-foot-1 middle blocker is also averaging a team-high 1.00 blocks per frame in that span.
- Junior Logan Manusky has been a stalwart on the back row over the last five matches averaging a squad-best 4.47 digs per set. She posted 21 digs in the Cougars' sweep of The Citadel on Sept. 17.
- Redshirt freshman Claire Campbell is hitting .321 over the last five matches with 21 kills (1.31/set) and 15 blocks (0.94/set). She put together perhaps her best performance as a Cougar with eight kills on 13 swings without an error and added five blocks against Charleston Southern on Sept. 20.
- Freed has been lethal from behind the service line so far this season with 19 aces through 14 matches. Her average of 0.39 aces per set ranks third in the CAA.
- The Cougars' blocking corps has put on a show over the first five weeks of the season with an average of 2.16 blocks per set, which ranks fourth in the CAA.
- Kepner, the Cougars' all-time wins leader, needs nine victories to reach the 300-mark for his career.
