ELON, N.C. --- Mandy Napierala recorded a double-double and Lauren Freed became the 19^th player in program history to record 1,000 career kills as College of Charleston rallied from a seven-point deficit in set four to snatch a 3-1 win over Elon on Sunday afternoon in Colonial Athletic Association play.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Cougars fought back from a 17-10 deficit in set four to complete a 3-1 win.
Charleston finished with nine blocks holding Elon to 48 kills and a .176 hitting percentage.
Napierala and Freed each collected a match-high 16 kills.
Freshman Logan Pope put down a season-high 10 kills to go along with two blocks.
Leah Daniel and Kellyn Trowse paced Elon with 16 and 11 kills respectively.

COUGAR OF THE MATCH
Freed put down a match- and season-high 16 kills to become the 19^th player in program history to reach the 1,000-kill mark for her career. The senior outside hitter finished one dig shy of a double-double and collected 11 of her 16 kills in the opening two frames.

NOTABLES

Napierala turned in a double-double with 16 kills and 16 digs to go along with three blocks.
Logan Manusky paced the defense with a match-high 21 digs including six in set two.
Brooke Harris dished out a match-best 26 assists and added eight digs.
Pope posted three kills each in the second and fourth sets and finished in double digits for the first time in her career.
Tori Carpenter accounted for 25 assists and five digs.
Molly Russell and Peyton Eisnaugle each recorded six kills as Eisnaugle and Claire Campbell both posted four blocks.
Freshman Caroline Pender tallied five digs and dropped in a pair of service aces.
The Cougars recorded 33 of their 58 kills in the first and fourth sets.
