CHARLESTON, S.C. --- The College of Charleston baseball team wraps up its four-game road swing with a midweek tussle against Charleston Southern on Wednesday evening in the second of four matchups between the in-city foes this season. First pitch is slated for 6:00 p.m. at CSU Ballpark with junior Trent Joiner (Huntersville, N.C.) taking the ball opposite Charleston Southern junior Cam Weinberger.
 
Game Preview
The Cougars and Bucs meet for the 72nd time on Wednesday, with CofC carrying a 10-5 record and Charleston Southern entering the week at 5-12. Wednesday's match-up is the second of four meetings between the in-city foes this season.
 
Scouting Charleston Southern
Charleston Southern enters Wednesday's contest with a 5-12 record following a series setback to The Citadel over the weekend. The Bucs dropped Friday and Sunday's tilts while emerging with a 10-5 victory on Saturday.
 
Josh Litchfield leads the Bucs with a .357 batting average and nine RBI, while Ryan Stoudemire has collected three home runs and driven in 10 runs. Wednesday's starter, Cam Weinberger, is 0-2 with a 5.79 ERA in three starts this season.

The Cougars own a 55-16 lead in the all-time series with the Bucs dating back to 1991. CofC has won 11 of the last 12 games in the series.

The trio of Dupree Hart, Logan McRae, and Danny Wondrack have been nothing short of superb against the Cougars' most challenging opponents this season, combining for three home runs, 22 RBI, a .410 batting average, and a .614 slugging percentage in CofC's seven games against UConn, Coastal Carolina, and Arizona.
 
Batting Around
The Cougars sent nine batters to the plate in two separate innings - the third and the eighth - during Sunday's 10-6 win at Arizona. Charleston totaled eight runs in those two frames, including the five-run third. Each member of the Cougar batting order recorded at least one hit.
 
Chasing History
Senior Nathan Ocker is off to a superb start in his senior season, entering the week with a 2-0 record, three saves, and a 0.84 ERA in 10 and two-thirds innings over seven appearances. The Middletown, Pa. native is tied for fourth all-time with 17 saves, and ranks second in career WHIP (0.98) after setting the single-season mark with a mark of 0.72 in 2018.
 
Highlight Reel Gloves
Dupree Hart and Chris Graham each made several highlight reel plays in the field over the weekend. Graham made a diving catch in center to end the fourth inning on Sunday, while Hart robbed Arizona's Ryan Holgate of a base hit with a game-ending grab in the bottom of the ninth.
