Charleston looks to pick up its third straight win over regional rival Coastal Carolina on Tuesday evening in the second of three meetings with the Chanticleers.
Scouting Coastal Carolina
Coastal Carolina enters the week with a 23-13-1 overall record and an 8-6 mark in Sun Belt play after dropping both games of a rain-shortened series at Little Rock over the weekend. The Chanticleers rank 10th in the nation with 47 home runs, and are 22nd in scoring (7.8).
Kieton Rivers leads the Chants with a .362 batting average and 41 RBI, while Kyle Skeels paces the team with eight home runs. Cameron Pearcey and Cory Wood have each swiped 16 bases in 18 attempts. Tuesday's starter, Nick Parker, carries a 6.05 ERA in 19.1 innings over eight appearances this season.
