CHARLESTON, S.C.  – Easton Thomas clinched in three sets on court two to lead the College of Charleston men's tennis team to a 4-3 victory over Davidson on Saturday afternoon at Patriots Point.  The win gives the Cougars 18 on the year, the most in the regular season under head coach Jay Bruner and the most in a single season since the 2016 squad racked up 19 total wins, 16 in the regular season.
 
The Cougars got on the board early by clinching the doubles point through courts one and two. Benedikt Henning and Johnny Wang combining for a 6-3 win, Ksawery Pociej and Thomas clinching on court one in a 6-2 victory. Robby Krick and Ben Cawston went unfinished on court three.
 
Wang raced into a straight set singles victory on court four to put Charleston on top 2-0. The freshman winning, 6-0, 6-3, Davidson getting on the board on court three with their own straight sets win.

On court one Henning got back to winning ways with a 7-5, 6-2, victory over the Wildcat's Axel Fries, Henning picking up his 16^th singles win of the year on court one, the most in a single season over his career to give Charleston a 3-1 lead.

Davidson battled back with a straight sets victory on court six with both Thomas and Pociej going to a third set on courts two and five.
 
It was Thomas who clinched the match for Charleston. The junior picking up the first set 6-3, dropping the second 3-6, before clinching the match with a 6-1 third set for his 9^th singles victory of the season.

The Wildcats closed out the match with a win on court five to make the final score 4-3 to The College who now look to a Tuesday night matchup with in-city rivals The Citadel. First serve is set for 7 p.m. at Patriots Point.
