HOW IT HAPPENED
• Kennesaw State struck first in the 15^th minute to take a 1-0 lead.
• Freitas shot a potential equalizer in the 30^th minute but it ultimately was saved by the Owls.
• Powell and Freitas each looked to even the score in the 33^rd minute but their shots were saved by the KSU keeper.
• The Cougars took four shots in the last seven minutes of the match but could not find the back of the net to even the score.

"We're disappointed in the result of the game, but certainly not in our effort and in the chances that we created to score. We were off pace in the first 15-20 minutes of the game, but we pegged our way back in. I though we dominated the game for large portions of it, but we switched off once or twice and got punished for it. I'm very happy with some individual efforts tonight and we know we are getting better every day. We've got to quickly forget about this result and get ready for Sunday."
