CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston Men's Soccer will travel to Boston, Mass. to face off against Northeastern on Saturday, Sept. 21 with kick-off schedule for 7 p.m. in second CAA matchup of the year.
Last Outing
The Cougars were defeated by NC State by a score of 4-1 on Sept. 17. Junior Jake Nicholson scored the lone goal of the match for the Cougars when he converted on a free kick from outside of the box. CofC took four shots, including two registering on goal.
The Opponent
Northeastern finished the 2018 season with a 6-9-1 overall record and a 3-4-1 record in CAA play. This season, the Huskies have logged an overall record of 3-2-1 and a 1-0-1 record in conference play. Northeastern has gotten wins over UMass Lowell, Drexel, and Holy Cross. Head Coach Chris Gbandi is in the midst of his fourth season at the helm of the program. He has registered a 18-34-5 record during his tenure with Northeastern. The team is led by Ryan Massoud who has scored a team-high three goals on only five shots so far this season.
