HEAD COACH CHRISTIAN MICHNER
"I was really impressed with the way my team stepped out to play tonight. We talked about making sure that we do all of the little things consistently every day and they did a great job of that. We were really unfortunate all night not to find the back of the net until the final touch but in the end, we got the goal we needed to win it. Obviously, it was a full team performance. I was really happy with how my team played with the ball tonight. We were fantastic. We have to work on finishing because we're not going to create as many chances in the CAA as we did tonight, so we'll have to be a little more clinical in terms of finishing. I'm happy to win and happy to move into conference play where we are."
WHAT'S NEXT
The Cougars remain at home to open up CAA play as they face off against Delaware on Thursday, Sept. 26 at 7 p.m. at Patriots Point in Mount Pleasant, S.C.
