Cougars Set To Face Off Against Drexel On The Road

CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston Women's Soccer is set to travel to Philadelphia, Pa. to face off against CAA foe Drexel on Sunday, Sept. 29 with kick-off scheduled for 11:30 a.m.
Last Outing
CofC won its fourth consecutive match on Sept. 26 with a 1-0 win over Delaware in the CAA opener. Freshman Grace Powell scored her first conference goal of her collegiate career in the 10th minute when she put away a ball that came from a Naya Boualany corner. The Cougars held the edge in shots on goal, 5-4. Junior keepers Meredith Holton and Maggie Berlin split time in the back and registered two saves each.

Drexel finished the 2018 season with a 7-7-5 overall record and a 4-4-1 record in CAA play. The Dragons enter the game with a 4-4-2 overall record and a 0-1-0 record in conference play. In their most recent matchup, the Dragons fell to Hofstra by a score of 2-1 in extra time in the CAA opener. Head Coach Ray Goon is in the midst of his 23rd season at the helm of the program. The team is led by Lauren Currey who has logged four goals and three assists en route to 11 points.
