CofC Drops First Of A Two-Game Road Stint To JMU

The Short Story: The College couldn't overcome its slow start as it falls to James Madison on the road in the first of a two-game road stint.

  • Sophomore Madison Taylor led the Cougars in scoring with 11 points while grabbing five boards and logging two steals.
  • Sophomore Arynn Eady nearly recorded her fifth double-double of the season as she scored eight points and grabbed 12 rebounds.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Dukes started the game off on a 7-2 run before Williams knocked down a triple to cut the lead to 7-4.
  • James Madison ended the first quarter on a 9-0 run and extended its lead to 12 points.
  • Taylor knocked down a mid-range jumper to start the second quarter and cut the Duke's lead to 10 points.
  • The Cougars were held to just nine points in the second quarter, giving JMU a 25-point lead entering the half.
  • James Madison led by as much as 37 points in the third quarter as CofC was held to just 10 points.
  • CofC couldn't overcome a game-high 38-point lead by JMU but cut it to just 31 at the end of regulation.
