CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Four College of Charleston women's golfers were recently recognized as WGCA All-American Scholars by the Women's Golf Coaches Association.
For the third time of her career, senior Anna-Theresa Rottluff (Dusseldorf, Germany) earned a spot on the WGCA All-American Scholar Team. The 2019 All-Colonial Athletic Association First Team selection graduated in May with a bachelor's degree in business administration with a concentration in finance.
Freshman Emily Dunlap (Greenville, S.C.) turned in memorable rookie season being named three times as CAA Women's Golfer of the Week and capturing her first collegiate tournament win as co-medalist of the Kiawah Island Spring Classic. She also led the Cougars with a team-best 71.58 stroke average, which ranked No. 36 nationally.
Along with Rottluff and Dunlap, junior Olivia Hamilton (Oakenshaw, England) was a consistent starter for the Cougars having played in all eight tournaments of the season. It was also her third career nod on the All-American Scholar Team. A double major in English and sociology, Hamilton fired a career-low and school-record tying 66 in the second round of the Elon Invitational – one of three team tournament titles claimed by CofC this past season.
Meanwhile, sophomore Kirsty Brodie (Blairgowrie, Scotland) was honored on the team for the first time of her career at The College.
The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative grade-point average is 3.50.
