
Cougars Begin Three Match Home Stand With Midweek Matchup Versus James Madison

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston women's soccer team (2-9-3, 1-3-1) enters the home stretch of the 2021 season on Thursday night, as it begins a three-match home stand with a midweek CAA contest against James Madison (5-8-1, 2-3) at 6:00 p.m.
The Cougars have hit their stride in recent weeks, beating Delaware 1-0 on the road, as well as tying with Towson in a match that CofC controlled for nearly 60 minutes. In its last time out, James Madison dropped a home conference match to UNC-Wilmington, 3-1.

Notes and Nuggets
- The last seven matches for CofC have been decided by one goal or less, inlcuding all of its CAA matches
- In the match agaisnt Towson, the Cougars posted a season-high 14 saves. Meredith Holton recorded five in the first half, and freshman Savannah Barron notched nine in the second half

- Faith Slimmer, a freshman, scored her first career goal against Towson. Junior Olivia Freitas supplied the assist, giving her an assist in two straight matches
