
Falk Named CAA Defensive Player of the Week

ARLINGTON, Va. --- College of Charleston sophomore Emma Falk (Niwot, Colo.) has been named the Colonial Athletic Association Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week for the first time in her career announced league officials Monday.
Falk averaged 1.57 kills and 1.86 blocks per set to help the Cougars to a 1-1 opening weekend on January 30 and 31, totaling 13 blocks and 11 kills in seven sets. The sophomore middle blocker opened the season with five kills and a match-high seven blocks in the Cougars' sweep of Georgia Southern before posting six kills and six blocks in a 3-1 setback at The Citadel the following day. Falk currently leads the CAA in both total blocks (13) and blocks per set (1.86).
The Cougars return to the court on Saturday, March 6 when they host William & Mary in the first match of a back-to-back to open CAA play. First serve is scheduled for 2:00 pm at TD Arena.
