
Cougars Face Aggies in First Round of CAA Championship

TOWSON, Md. – Four-seeded College of Charleston volleyball begins its title defense at the 2025 CAA Championship with a first round match against No. 5 North Carolina A&T on Wednesday, Nov. 20 at SECU Arena. Opening serve is set for 3 p.m. with the match airing live on FloCollege.
The Cougars finished the regular season 12-4 in the CAA and 18-9 overall record. The Aggies enter the postseason finishing with a 10-6 mark in league play and 14-11 record overall.

OPENING SERVE:
- Charleston finished the regular season with a pair of four set wins over Elon.
- Redshirt sophomore Deanna Dollar hit .345 with 13 kills in Saturday's victory while freshman Caroline Noonan and senior Morgan Cobb both ripped off 13 kills in Sunday's victory.
- Senior Bella Sinacori hit .400 with a career-best seven kills in the Senior Day win.
- Noonan earned her fourth weekly conference award of the campaign, capturing her second Rookie of the Week honor. The middle blocker hit .375 with 19 kills and 10 blocks on the weekend, including a .423 average Sunday.
- Noonan joins fellow first year Jumana Martin with four weekly CAA awards in 2025.
- Martin finished the regular season with 15th 20-dig contests, racking up 24 digs Saturday.
- Martin is one-of-five Cougars with 20 service aces this year, the most in a campaign since 2007.
SCOUTING NORTH CAROLINA A&T.
- Tyne Ross wrapped up the regular season with 429 total kills, averaging 4.38 per set. Freshman Nicole Ellis led the team defensively with 68 total blocks. The Aggies are making their second straight appearance in the CAA Championship, earning the five seed last year as well.
SERIES HISTORY:
- Charleston and North Carolina A&T are tied 4-4 in the all-time series after splitting the pair of matches earlier this season. The Cougars swept the Aggies in the first meeting of the year before North Carolina A&T earned the split with a five-set victory in the Holy City. The two teams will meet for the first time in a neutral site match and in the postseason.

- With a win, No. 4 Charleston would face No. 1 Hofstra in the CAA semifinals on Friday, Nov. 21 at 3 p.m.
