CHARLESTON, S.C. --- The College of Charleston baseball team will look to bounce back from a weekend series setback to No. 23 Alabama when the Cougars travel to Buies Creek, N.C. on Tuesday to take on Campbell in a midweek matchup. First pitch is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
Game Preview
The Cougars have lost seven of their last eight after opening the season with back-to-back wins to clinch a series victory against North Carolina A&T. Campbell has won two in a row after sweeping a doubleheader from Gardner-Webb on Saturday.
Scouting Campbell
The Camels were picked as the favorite to capture the Big South title this season for the third straight year. Campbell won the Big South crown in 2019 and carried a 7-9 record when the 2020 campaign was halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Camels currently sport a 6-3 mark in 2021.
Christian Matthew leads the Camels with a .424 batting average, four home runs and 19 RBI after clubbing a pair of grand slams in Saturday's doubleheader sweep of Gardner-Webb. Tuesday starter Cade Boxrucker is 0-1 with a 22.50 ERA in two innings of work this season.
