CHARLESTON, S.C. --- The College of Charleston offshore sailing team sailed against some of the world's best this past weekend during the 25
th Charleston Race Week with Team Cougar placing fourth in ORC D and Team Soul finishing seventh in the Pursuit Class A.
Team Cougar finished the 10-race regatta with 33 points and four top-three performances, including a second-place showing in race three.
Skye Ehrhart guided the Cougars at driver with
William Comerford at main,
Burke Anvari at primary,
Megan Fetterley at secondary,
Sean Groskoph at squirrel,
Maggie Wilcox at pit,
Garrett McKinnon at mast and
Caroline Williams at bow.
Team Soul placed seventh in the Pursuit Race – Spinnaker Class A with 19 points including a third-place finish in the second of three races.
Emily Potter was the driver for Team Soul with
Connor Marion at main, Harrison Kohler at primary,
Julianna Corso at secondary,
Stuart Henry at squirrel,
Kate Schmiege at pit,
Evan Chenard at mast and
Cade Morris at bow.
The Cougars dinghy team will return to the water on Saturday, April 17 at the SAISA Team Race Championships and Sunday, April 18 at the SAISA Fleet Race Championships. Both regattas will take place in Charleston at the J. Stewart Walker Sailing Complex.
