GAME PREVIEW
The College of Charleston men's soccer team prepares for one final Colonial Athletic Association showdown of the spring season on the road at Elon on Sunday afternoon at 4 p.m. (ET) in Elon, N.C.
This will be the last conference matchup for the Cougars (0-3-3, 0-2-1 CAA), as they close out the year against Coastal Carolina next weekend at home at Ralph Lundy Field at Patriots Point in Mt. Pleasant, S.C.
Freshman forward Jakob Kristensen and sophomore defender Cas van Altena lead CofC in the scoring column with two points each on the season. van Altena scored the Cougars' lone goal in a 2-1 loss to James Madison on March 27.
"We have had a good week of intense training," CofC Head Coach Keith Wiggans said. "Elon has a talented, high-energy team. We will look to match their intensity and force our style of play into the game. It is always difficult on the road in the CAA, but I am confident our guys are prepared for a tough match."
Both teams are searching for a win in conference play as the Phoenix (1-5-0, 0-2-0 CAA) have been shut out in each of their previous league contests versus UNCW (L, 2-0) and JMU (L, 1-0).
