Volleyball Bounces Back with Pair of 3-1 Wins Over Owls, Sycamores

CHARLESTON, S.C. --- The College of Charleston volleyball team bounced back with a pair of 3-1 wins over Kennesaw State and Indiana State on Saturday afternoon at TD Arena on the second day of the 2021 CofC Invitational.
Redshirt junior Claire Campbell accounted for a team-high 20 kills on the day while Gabi Bailey chipped in 18 kills, 24 digs and eight services aces. The Cougars accumulated 93 kills and 13 blocks on the day while combining for a .237 hitting percentage as a team.
Critical Point
Trailing one set to none to Indiana State in the final match of the day, Charleston opened the second frame with four aces from Bailey to take an early 5-0 lead. The Cougars would go on to win the set, 25-19, as well as the next two frames to complete the comeback and seal their second 3-1 victory of the day.

- Freshman Chandler Manusky celebrated her first collegiate serve in style with an ace to clinch a 25-12 third-set win against Kennesaw State.
- Lexi Wierzbicki and Sofie Vogel accounted for 17 and 12 kills, respectively, on the day including a match-high 14 for Wierzbicki against the Owls.
- Bailey put together the Cougars' first double-double of the season with 13 kills and 14 digs against Kennesaw State.
- Jasmin posted a double-double of her own with 19 assists and 10 digs in the win over Indiana State.
