Delaney Dawes took advantage of a great chance and scored her first career goal in the 28
th minute. She finished with a team-high four shots, including four on goal. The Cougars held Coastal Carolina scoreless in the opening half.

Coastal fought back late, knotting the score at 1-1 in the 67
th minute. CofC kept battling, out-shooting the Chanticleers, 17-9 overall on the night, but Coastal Carolina scored the go-ahead goal in the 87
th minute to seal a come-from-behind victory.

- Freshman Delaney Dawes led the Cougars' effort, scoring her first career goal and finishing with a career-high seven shots. She has 16 shots through her first four career games.
- After scoring in the Cougars' last game, Grace Powell manufactured a season-high four shots on Sunday night at Coastal.
- Senior goalkeeper Meredith Holton matched her season-high with five saves and now has 113 in her career.

- Junior Jenna Snead, who earned a spot on the roster in early August, earned her first career start. Freshman Emmie Wannemacher also had her first career start on Sunday night.
- Sunday marked the first time in the all-time series between CCU and CofC in which the home team won. The Chanticleers now lead the series, 5-3-2.
