CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston concludes its non-conference schedule and plays its final home game on Tuesday when the Cougars host North Florida at Ralph Lundy Field at Patriots Point in a 6 p.m. contest.
The Cougars are 5-0-2 at Patriots Point and will look to complete an undefeated home season for the first time since 2003. Charleston has won three of the four games against North Florida but lost the only match at home, a 2-1 defeat in 2018.
Freshmen Chris Elliott and Leonardo D'Ambrosio continued their strong debut seasons in Saturday's 3-2 loss at CAA leader Elon. Elliott scored his eighth goal of the year to stay in a tie for third in the league while D'Ambrosio added his fourth on a PK that opened the scoring.
Elliott is also fourth in the CAA in points (17) while D'Ambrosio is tied for seventh with five assists. Iker Carew has scored three game-winning goals, tied for the second most in the conference, and ranks fourth in shots (34) and sixth in shots on goal (16).
Olly Marshall and Justin Bauer have combined for five shutouts, all at home, with Marshall owning a 1.30 goals against average and Bauer at 1.40.
Joaquin Acuna leads the Ospreys with two goals and four points, and Braden Masker has a pair of assists. Micah Gun has three shutouts, a 1.00 goals against average and .786 save percentage as the team's top keeper.
Following Tuesday's game, the Cougars head to Hofstra for the regular season finale on Saturday with the opporunity to clinch a berth in the CAA playoffs.
